Here’s some information from Ad Gefrin about Northumberlands latest attraction:
“The Anglo Saxon Museum will illuminate the extraordinary characters that shaped not just Northumbria but the future of England, through showcasing artefacts uncovered at Yeavering, across the North East and from further afield that are typical of the period. The Great Hall immersive AV museum interpretation will invite you into the heart of the Golden Age of the Kingdom of Northumbria – the royal palace of Ad Gefrin – a place of power, ritual, craftsmanship, language and one shaped by nature.”
“The brand new Whisky Distillery will awaken the Northumbrian tradition of distilling whisky that has slept for 200 years. The distillery is the beating heart of Ad Gefrin, the place where the alchemy happens turning the purest raw materials into our golden spirit. Our international team of distillers have come together from all corners of the globe, bringing their passion for whisky to bear in nurturing the process from beginning to end – from the arrival of our own malted barley to sealing our whisky casks and bottling.”
